The software and its licence

The bankstatementparser project — the core library together with the loader, writer, LSP and MCP packages (bankstatementparser-loader-bai2, bankstatementparser-loader-mt942, bankstatementparser-writer-xlsx, bankstatementparser-lsp and bankstatementparser-mcp) — is provided under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Your use, reproduction and distribution of the software are governed by that licence, and in the event of any conflict the licence text prevails.

Provided "as is"

The software is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, as set out in the Apache License 2.0. You bear the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software.

Informational content only

The content on this website is provided for general information about the project. It is not financial, legal, accounting or compliance advice, and must not be relied upon as such. You should obtain independent professional advice before making decisions that depend on the parsing, reconciliation or reporting of financial data.

Trademarks

Format names and product names referenced on this site — including SWIFT, BAI, ISO 20022, OFX, QFX and Microsoft Excel, among others — are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. They are used purely descriptively to indicate compatibility. No affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from any trademark owner is claimed or implied.

Accuracy and your responsibilities

Bank statement formats vary widely between institutions, and PDF extraction in particular is inherently probabilistic. You are responsible for the accuracy of parsed data and for validating all output before relying on it for reconciliation, reporting, payment, or any other purpose. Always check results against your source statements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and subject to the terms of the Apache License 2.0, neither the authors nor the contributors shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages — including loss of data, profits, or business — arising out of or in connection with the software or the use of this website, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the jurisdiction in which the project maintainer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
